Tango Performance

WHAT WE DO:
We dance and teach an improvised, Close Embrace Tango that aims to be stylish, flowing and musical. For us, Tango is an improvised experience for two people in a Close Embrace within a group. Our hallmark is natural, elegant and musical dancing.
We offer Group and Private Classes and workshops for Absolute Beginner to Advanced and Professional dancers with us and with visiting Tango maestros. These range from Introductory Courses on All Levels to Themed Couple Classes in Tango, Milonga and Tango Vals. Our emphasis is on body knowledge & Leading and Following with ease and elegance. We strive to develop ourselves and our students into the best dancers we can be.

Our classes range from group classes to private classes-viz.
Tango Group (groups of 12-15 couples @ R70pp, Discount available)

General Courses (8- weeks, Partner required) for All Levels Beginner Levels 1 & 2, Beginner 2, Post-Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced Couples.

Mini Courses (4-weeks, partner required) Intermediate & Advanced Dancers wishing to develop & improve.

Drop In Classes Solo Technique:(No partner required) All Levels

Tango Select (groups of 3 to 5 couples @ R100 pp) and

Tango Private (Classes for Singles or Couples with one or two teachers-Prices on Application)

Develop Your Dancing through & with Class

CAUTION: Please take responsibility for your bodies’ well-being and be careful to dance with balance and with a correct and considered technique.
Only when you are really balanced and at ease with your body should you attempt combinations and steps that are more difficult than you can manage!
Be mindful and use common sense about the physical constraints of your body and the level of your fitness.
Learn slowly and mindfully and Tango will serve you well.

WEEK OF WORKSHOPS WITH ERIC IN FEBRUARY 2012

ERIC JORISSEN /JEURISSEN: The wonderful and highly skilled maestro, Eric Jorissen aka the Godfather of Tango in Cape Town, returns to Cape Town in November 2011 to share his special and unique brand of tango technique and wisdom with us. Eric, a worldwide travelling tango guru, has been visiting Cape Town since May 1999 and has unstintingly offered his wisdom, Tango training and encouragement to so many of us.
This is your chance to experience one or more classes with Eric in a pre-summer special. He returns in Feb 2012 to offer more comprehensive & challenging work.

These classes will be for different levels and for use on the Social Tango floor.
